Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026
We collect only what you type into the waitlist form. We use it to answer you and to email you about your place on the waitlist if you agreed. We don’t sell it, we don’t use advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
This policy covers the GroomSolo website and the waitlist. GroomSolo is operated by GroomSolo, which is the controller of the data described here (contact: hello@groomsolo.com). The mobile app is still in development and is not covered here; it will have its own notice before it handles client data.
What we collect
- The waitlist form: your name, email, and, if you choose to give them, business name, home ZIP code, how many dogs you groom on a normal day and how you schedule today.
- Proof of your choices: the date and time you signed up, the exact consent wording you saw and its version, the page you signed up from and, if present in the link, campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign).
- Counts without identity: anonymous daily totals of page views, button clicks and form steps. We store no cookie, no device identifier and no IP address with these counts. We skip them entirely when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. We use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Technical logs: our servers briefly keep standard connection logs (including IP address) to keep the service secure and working. OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France) hosts the site.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To read your sign-up and reply to you, because you asked us to.
- To email you about the waitlist, early access and product updates, only if you ticked the box. The wording is: “I agree that GroomSolo may email me at the address above about my place on the GroomSolo waitlist, early access and product updates. I can withdraw this at any time.”
- To protect the form from abuse (rate limits, hidden spam trap), which is our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.
The consent box is never ticked for you, and joining works only if you tick it. We don’t text you; text messaging is not offered.
Who sees it
Only the GroomSolo founders. Providers that process data for us: OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France) (hosting and database) and OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France) (sending our emails). We don’t sell or rent your details and we don’t share them for advertising.
Where it is stored
Your details are stored on a server operated by OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France). We don’t transfer them anywhere else, and we don’t use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep a waitlist entry for 365 days after your last contact with us, then delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to remember not to email you again. We delete earlier when you ask.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe with the link in any email we send, or ask us.
- Ask to see, correct or delete your details by writing to hello@groomsolo.com. We answer within 30 days.
- If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to its use and to withdraw your consent at any time (withdrawing doesn’t affect what we did before). You can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or to the authority where you live.
- Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may have similar rights. We don’t sell or share personal data for advertising. Write to us and we will honor your request.
- Giving us your name and email is needed to join the waitlist; everything else is optional. Nothing about you is decided by an automated process.
Security
Details are sent over HTTPS and stored in a private database that is not reachable from the internet. Only the founders can list or export them, and every such action is logged. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The site is for working adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, for waitlist members, tell you by email. Questions: hello@groomsolo.com.
